When travelling Europe with kids, where you stay will shape the trip more than how many sights you see.

A walkable base, space to spread out, and easy access to food can turn a potentially exhausting trip into one that feels calm and enjoyable.

I always say this to parents planning Europe for the first time: choose one good base and let the days unfold from there. The memories usually come from the slow moments, not the checklist.
